Yachts/Powerboat Training
We are an RYA Approved Coastal Training Centre and offer courses at all levels for Powerboat / Motorboat, Sea Survival, Own Boat Tuition, International Certificate of Competence, and Short Range VHF (including DSC) radio, all as part of the National Powerboat Scheme. Please see our Courses section for full details of the service we provide.
Whether you are new to powerboating or motorboats, or have been involved with boats for years, at Powerboat Training Southwest we can enhance your understanding and enjoyment of the sport.You will be taught in our 6.2 metre Cobra Rib which is fully equipped with your safety and enjoyment in mind. Or, we can of course provide one to one training on your own boat. All of our courses and qualifications are endorsed by the RYA and are Internationally Recognised.
At the end of your course you will be able to enjoy your cruising in the full and certain knowledge that you can do so safely, competently and have great fun doing it.
It is our belief, at Powerboat Training Southwest, that instructing powerboating is not only a job, but a passion. The difference this makes can be considerable, so as well as teaching you - it is our aim to see that all of the courses are enjoyable.
