Since our inception in April 2003, Step to Training has been the market leader in training for adult career changers wanting to get into the building trades. As a proactive and dynamic organisation we offer intense training courses to give adults the skills to get into the construction industry.
Because of the current demand for building skills, Step to Training has engineered intensive programmes, ranging from 1 to 12 weeks and more. We offer courses in:
These courses will give adults the skills the industry demands and the ability to add value to any employer from day one. As a training management company it is not just about the training, but about helping people accomplish their goals in changing careers.
On successful completion of many of our courses students will receive guidance about putting together an industry specific CV. We also offer advice on interview techniques and networking to find employment. Or if they are looking to set up on their own, we offer business start up advice. Each of our partner centres is specially chosen for the quality of its training. Several are centres of vocational excellence.
We carefully vet our centres and monitor the delivery of our programmes through regular visits. This is in addition to the stringent external third party verification required by the relevant accrediting bodies, which monitor the delivery of our courses. We have trained people from all walks of life including redundancies, career changers and people leaving the armed forces. Our experience has been that employers find a combination of past experience, motivation and determination to succeed to be a great asset.
