Scaffolding

Climbing to new heights with Scaffolding Career Skills A SHORTAGE of qualified scaffolders is helping to build an international reputation for one of the trade's leading training centres.

SCS, which operates a purpose-designed scaffolding and roofing instruction facility, has trained people from all walks of life, with backgrounds as diverse as IT technicians, stock-brokers, accountants, shop assistants, factory workers and Service Leavers.

Scaffolding jobs range from basic working platforms for two-storey housing developments, flats, office blocks, film sets to massive, complex structures weighing hundreds of tons, one of the most famous being the refurbishment of the 320ft Statue of Liberty in New York.
